Romblon | The Beach House, Carabao Island

Fresh from the memories of Tablas Island, I moved on to my next destination in mind – Carabao Island. See I have been to Kalibo and Caticlan several times, but it never occurred to me how near it actually is to Carabao Island, 45 minutes from Caticlan to be exact. The island maybe classified in a different province, but it has lots of similarity with the beauty Boracay has to offer, only untouched and more idyllic.

CabinZero: The Ideal Travel Backpack

Klook.com

For the past two months, I switched to a new travel backpack buddy which surprised me and made my life easier.

CabinZero’s 28L (600 grams) cabin sized bag did wonders but first let me share how I picked it. Well, I was honestly contemplating between 44L(760 grams) and 36L(700 grams) but 44L looks too big for my size. While the newest size of 36L might be perfect for the 7.5kg carry on allowance, the color I was eyeing wasn’t available. Hence, the Royal Blue Classic 28L choice it is!

Makati | City Garden Grand Hotel

Rainy days has come and there has been a bit of slowdown in my list of weekend town/island hopping because I am discouraged to do so when during these months. But not to worry, because when one could not travel far, you could always choose to unwind close by and City Garden Grand Hotel was a place I've been meaning to visit since I saw it listed as one of the places with scenic rooftop views.

Things To See In Iligan City

Klook.com

North of Marawi City and nestled against the Iligan Bay, Iligan City isn't typically included among the top towns and destinations for tourists exploring the Philippines. It’s a little less remote than some of the natural retreats around the country, and a not as glamorous as some of the larger cities. But it’s still worth checking out if you’re taking an extended trek through the Philippines. These are a few of our favorite things to see and do there.

Pampanga | Lewis Grand Hotel

Can you believe it is already prelude to summer but I still got no plans on that highlight of the year that most Filipinos anticipate? Well I am utterly clueless and since work is quite busy, I opted to have quick getaways here and there near the National Capital Region.

My late January and early February was a hectic one, and since I’ve been meaning to unwind and cannot further wait for summer to come, I went back to the island very close to my heart – Boracay.

Marco Polo Davao

Marco Polo Hotel Davao City

I have always been eager to go back to Davao since I first visited it four years ago. Apart from the different sites I would love to explore in the lovely city and the nearby towns, I am constantly looking forward to come back to catch up with my cousin who formerly lived in Siquijor before her family moved to Davao for good. It is also good to note that our country’s 16th Pres. Rodrigo Duterte is from Davao and has been their mayor for over twenty years until the presidency came.

Coast Boracay

Boracay Island, in hindsight, will always have a special spot in my heart. It feels like I have always been to a place where I will never know for sure what is in store for me. But the last trip was refreshing, in a way, because it opened my eyes to how sometimes we are blinded by bittersweet memories bound to a destination which should not be the case. Because since we are constantly changing and life is never-endingly altering, we should be like a child open to learn to whatever is thrown at us but never ever giving up.

Big Hotel Cebu

Back to the place that we Visayan’s call ‘Dakbayan sa Sugbu’ which simply means the Cebu City is simply like a home closer to ‘home’ for me. After all, it is just one bus ride from Dumaguete, my home town, and where most of my friends are exploring careers and such after graduation.

Black and White Challenge

I was nominated by some travel and photography enthusiasts’ friends on Facebook to join the Black and White Challenge (#bnwchallenge). The aim is to post monochrome photos on your wall for five days and nominate others that you think would have fun to do the same. So I plugged my good old hard drive and started browsing through the sea of photographs…
