I have recently bought a zoom lens and I thought I was hyped when I bought it but I remembered one of the things that I wanted to try with it --- moon shot, aside from macro and bird shots. I took this photo on the day that I attended the Caracol Festival.

It was my first photowalk with PGT last March 2, 2013. I was lucky to go there with some travel friends who are attending and, also, it will be my first to be in Angono. Well, I'm glad I did because now I know what I have been missing. I met a lot of friends and seen many art collections and galleries 'til my feet went numb. With that I can say that it is truly the "Art Capital of the Philippines" for I have seen families passing their artistic skills generation to generation, restaurants/cafes with galleries inside and even in the gates of their homes showcase the different designs of their local artists.

Overwhelmed that I was able to go to another dream destination of mine, first was El Nido of last year, I am out of words on how I should start my Banaue-Batad posts. I think I should give you a quick background when I was still a student in Dumaguete, Negros Oriental. I've never had an idea that I would be able to travel after I graduated, back then those picturesque photos in our history textbooks were just my dream destinations. I do not have the luxury to spend another peso aside from my school-student assistant-tutor sideline-assignments/projects/studying regime 'coz I needed to maintain grades for the scholarships.

I've been to a festival way back in high school or college. It is the annual Buglasan Festival in Negros. But ever since, I've never been to other festivals, or shoot at festivals, for the matter. I know I sound like a sore loser given the the Philippines has numerous festivals in a year but I really hadn't got a chance to attend another one.

I have never seen the famous Batad or Banaue Rice Terraces and I am dreaming to finally have a glimpse on them or any rice terraces for the matter. My first chance was in Kalinga, en route to the start of the white water rafting adventure we stopped somewhere to take a photo with the rice terraces there. But it was oh so far!

I've been to Baguio a few times last year. Someone asked me why I keep going back and, at first, I was taken aback to that question. But in retrospect, I think that the city gives me this feeling of serenity. It is a place whispering of tales and secrets more than one could ever imagine. And it constantly surprises me of what it has to offer which seems to be its romantic gesture.

Photograph | My Very First Lightning Shot

This newly installed braces of mine often makes me hungry at night for I can't seem to get full with these soft diet thing. Hence, I went to the store in Sagana and bought some food that does not need much chewing. It was drizzling when I went out and as I was walking, I noticed the scattered lightning against the dark night. I told myself that this might be the right time to try my very first lightning shot. But my stomach growled at the thought.

Went back to my home town last August in time of Silliman University's Founders Week Celebration and my birthday which happens to be Silliman's Founders Day. It is totally hard to plan anything out of town when you're actually home because the laid back charm of Dumaguete is very inviting. So, I wasn't able to go to places or towns near Dumaguete and will update my blog soon. Soon. *winks*

This one is close to my heart for I so love Baler's quaint beauty, rich culture and beautiful destinations. I've seen so many amazing photographs online and when I visited the Ditumabo Falls, it was a bummer that I don't have my tripod. So, I placed my camera on top of my camera bag and made some tweaking on the settings. Not that excellent but for an amateur I felt kinda proud. :)
