Philippines Nationwide Holidays for 2015

You can plan for your trips for 2015, like what I usually do being a corporate slave and all! I need to plan and sandwich holidays so my trips will be longer and less vacation leaves to file. Here's an info-graphic and list of holidays for 2015, declared by virtue of Proclamation No. 831, s. 2014:

Nueva Ecija | Minalungao Rock Formations

These high walls of rock formation is Minalungao National Park's noteworthy characteristic. Splendid will be the right term when I was lying on the rocks looking up at the end of its seemingly walls until it reaches the sky and the cool breeze from the river is touching my face.

Daet | Bigg's Diner

You're Bicol trip is not complete if you haven't eaten at one of the popular local food chain - Bigg's Diner. It was 2 years ago since I have eaten at Bigg's and was glad to try their newest branch at Daet during our Date in Daet trip.

Bugasong | Patadyong Weaving

During our Manggad Kang Antique or The Treasures of Antique Heritage Tour, from Patnongon to Bugasong, we visited a place in Barangay Bagtason where the popular "patadyong" weavers are found. We arrived at around 3 in the afternoon and started our way round the different preparation processes before the weaving of "patadyong" (or a wraparound skirt popularly used by the locals).

Antique | Story behind Anini-y's name

The unique sounding name of the town from Antique, Anini-y, led me to repeat its name in my tongue 'til its sense no longer mean anything to me and with that I wondered how the name came to be.

Nueva Ecija | Peñaranda River

Well what can I say? Its fresh green waters surrounds the Minalungao National Park most. They say it is usually not clear when it has rained which is why I was kinda sad because it rained on the morning before going there so the water wasn't actually very clear and vibrant. Still, the view of the park will not disappoint to nature-lovers because it offers rock formations which made me remember about El Nido.

Nueva Ecija | Minalungao's Cave

While we were at the Minalungao National Park, we asked our guide, who was a kid because he insisted on going with us, if the cave was worth the while. He bluntly said, "No." Made me say no to but we went there anyway. Thereafter, I realized that what made him said no was due to the garbages  and vandals of those who previously went there. Saddening I must say because the cave has potentials but now only few rocks glistens to us, as if saying we're still alive and breathing.
