Baguio | Sunset 'til Night

 

After going to Baguio Botanical Garden when  the rain poured down so hard, we decided to stay at the mall and wait for our late night trip. We weren't able to go to the other places we wanted to visit so, we just did what is normally done when people are bored --- we took pictures from sunset until night! :)

Occidental Mindoro | House of Stilts

 



Before I went for island hopping near San Jose, I noticed these house of stilts in Occidental Mindoro near the public market area. I know they look decent here but the odor from the water and the rubbish that is thrown from the market is very uninviting.

Baguio Botanical Garden

 

Well, whenever I see a flower I can't resist taking a picture of it even with my mobile phone orany available camera I have.  In fact, when I was in high school, I started making my own trademark of a flower together with ejlsquared as a girlish signature. So when we visited the Botanical Garden in Baguio, together with my work mates, the more that I wasn't able to resist to take loads of pictures with nothing but flowers. My friends who were with me were also influenced by such and took shots through their android phones.

How to Get to The Great Sta Cruz Island, Zamboanga

The Great Sta Cruz Island, also known as Pink Sand Beach, located in Zamboanga in the southern region of the Philippines is popularly known for its white sand beach with a touch of pink coralline from the residues of the red organ pipe coral commonly found in the place. It is the only beach in the Philippines known for its pink sand beach.

HOW TO GET THERE

You have to book a trip to the island through the Department of Tourism in Zamboanga (Mondays - Fridays) located right outside the Lantaka Hotel, Valderrosa St or near Paseo del Mar. The passengers who would like to go the island departs with escorts from the Sta Cruz Ferry Port located inside Paseo del Mar. The boat costs Php 1000 round trip (can accommodate up to 10 passengers), so if you are sharing with friends. you can cut the cost lower.

Fortunately, we were booked ahead of time by our friends Chuck and Almin since we were scheduled to arrive on a Saturday. We also have befriended a group of people and shared the boat with us so instead of 1000 dived by 4 passengers we were able to share it with 9 people.
