I have always been eager to go back to Davao since I first visited it four years ago. Apart from the different sites I would love to explore in the lovely city and the nearby towns, I am constantly looking forward to come back to catch up with my cousin who formerly lived in Siquijor before her family moved to Davao for good. It is also good to note that our country’s 16th Pres. Rodrigo Duterte is from Davao and has been their mayor for over twenty years until the presidency came.

And more importantly, that particular visit is a memorable one for it is the birthday weekend of one of my closest friends and travel buddies, Marx. We’ve started traveling together with Chino four years ago. And I was glad I met these two because life would’ve been that colorful without them, through thick and thin – literally and figuratively. Haha So, for our dear friend’s special weekend we stayed at Davao’s best which is none other than Marco Polo Hotel Davao.

Delighted to have also met some of Davao’s Digital Influencers Sarah, Chamee, and Glenn. We actually went a week after the bombing at the Roxas Night Market, I must admit we were a bit hesitant to push our plans but I’m glad we did because it wouldn’t have been as enlightening as it would have been now.

Marco Polo Davao’s exact address is at Claro M. Recto Street, Davao City. For more information visit their website.
