Morong, Bataan | Pamarta Bali Beach Resort

Klook.com

It was a summer get-away invite from my friends who are planning to go Pamarta Bali Beach Resort in Morong, Bataan last May 20-21, 2011. Since I was just invited, I didn't do much planning, except what to bring during the trip, since they have already planned the event. When we arrived at the place, I was very much pleased that I agreed for the place was a total beauty!

We started our 3-4 hours road trip to Bataan when it was noon. We had vans already rented and though I have a motion sickness, I just can't help to notice the beautiful view along the way. So, I wasn't able to keep myself from taking some snapshots along the way.

Finally, when we reached the resort at around 4pm, the first thing I did was to take pictures of the pool. The place was just breathtaking! My friends started getting their things and going to the cottages, but for me it was a time to explore the place and take snapshots while people aren't crowding the pool and beach. :)

And of course, after the plentiful pool shots, I shouldn't miss the beach! The beach made me miss my hometown, Dumaguete, more. Because you see, we traveled some 3-4 hours to see a decent beach, but way back home beach is just 5 minutes away!

Anyway, Morong, Bataan has a fine long beach that I immediately saw after the infinity pool. Loads of resorts are also along the shore. Boats of fishermen were docked too. And some activities were already happening such as people playing volleyball, some people cooking for their afternoon snacks by the beach, and the like.

And when I got enough of the beach, I went back to take some snapshots of the place more.  Their infinity pool was a delight with benches along the side if you want to get some tan!

The day went smoothly, we played at the beach, take advantage of the pool and the beach, ate our hearts out with our packed food, sang with the free karaoke, and had some drinks during the bonfire when it was after dinner time.

The next day was more interesting, we rented a boat and went snorkeling. The beauty of underwater life was such a amazement. It was just too bad that I didn't have an underwater camera with me then. Nevertheless, it was a one lovely day that we couldn't help but take advantage of the beach and the sun!

And at that point, my addiction to boats started. Simply because there were loads of them there... Just like us, local and foreign tourists are also their to snorkel, swim or simply to sight see.

We weren't satisfied with our snorkeling so off we went to see the other end of the Bataan Peninsula, where right behind it lies the controversial Bataan Nuclear Power Plant. And we went there because we noticed the fine white sand of the cove from afar.

By the time we got there, we had no regrets for it was truly a rare find. Though the cove is not so big, the different and more refined grain of sands is noticeable on this area. The beach's color of light blue green is also stunning and inviting. Moreover, you'll notice some further but smaller rock formations on this area spread in the near sea  part of that end. The Bataan Nuclear Power Plant is very much closer that we expected.

This nuclear power plant program started in 1958, the construction began on 1976 and was nearly completed on 1984. But after President Marcos was thrown, the succeeding President Aquino decided not to operate the plant. This was due to some unresolved issues about its safety strongly opposed by the Bataan residents and Filipino citizens. And also with the fact that the plant is located in an earthquake zone. Hence, the first ever attempt of Philippines at building a nuclear power plant was completed but was never fueled now standing at Napot Point in Morong, Bataan.
