The District Boracay

District Boracay at night

I have been in and around Boracay for a few times these past few years. The good thing I have seen in those trips of mine is that it is usually spent with friends who made these trips unforgettable and memorable. The last one was a birthday trip of our ever generous Mark Julius of Lakwatserong Tsinelas, since he forego his former plan to go to Japan for his birthday, he decided to celebrate in Boracay which he claimed was a first, celebrating it locally. Haha

Our stay in the beautiful island with the finest sand, in my opinion, was made more worthwhile because of the comfort and quality brought by our accommodation – The District Boracay. It is nestled at the center of the exceptionally vibrant Station 2 in Boracay Island. And more to that is it offers a beachfront ease and access to the white beach overlooking the aqua-blue-colored water.

Favorite hobby while in the island?
Watch the waves run neverendingly kissing the shore

Given how space is of essence in the island, The District Boracay did not settle for less and provided the ample space one would need to have a distinct luxury amidst the bustling area at the shoreline.

Boat sails and para-sailing*

Our air-conditioned rooms was generous for two (up to four) people complete with amenities – television, refrigerator, telephone, bath robe, slippers, bath care, shower products, hair dryer, insect repellant, and the like – with a touch of art with the wall frames  above the headboard. The ample space of not only the room but also their beds made it so comfortable while resting, plus they have these numerous extra pillows which is heaven for me because I am an ultimate pillow-lover. Sails overload!

Their restaurant, Star Lounge, where breakfast or brunch buffet, and dinner is served is a distinctly impressive given how exquisite the taste and offerings they have. In fact, our dinner was served with the newest additions in their menu. And to add to that, they also have a barbeque/grilled during the evening which is a whole new mouthwatering story of to tackle.

They also have bars and roof-deck area to unwind and relax with the breezy view of the beach. It is where we spent our Saturday afternoon’s catching up while waiting for the sun to set.

Pretty much the prominent feature I could think of about The District Boracay is their symmetrical and pretty architecture facing the pool. It is a joy to have an easy access to contrasting comforts: beach and nature outside, and their pool and architecture inside the resort. It’s like having best of both, whichever may suit your mood best.

Para-sailing* or para-kiting

The District Boracay is located at Station 2 Barangay Balabag, Boracay Island, Malay, 5608 Aklan. You may reach them through this number (02) 234 9058 or visit their website at www.thedistrictboracay.com.

*Para-sailing aka para-kiting is like paragliding but rather than run off of a cliff, one is pulled by a boat with a chute harnessed above you so that you get pulled up into the air.
