Love the view from their roof-deck restaurant/bar
Cebu has always been close to my heart and what I considered my second home having lived in its neighboring island, the Negros Island, for twenty-one years. That is why I always come back to the Queen City of the South every once in a while.
Trying to imitate the popularized "follow me" post with this scenic view
The latest that has been was an unforgettable summer adventure with a mix group of friends from Manila and Cebu. It was my first to experience staying at the Mactan Island itself – the previous ones were in Cebu Island, around Cebu City or Mandaue. And much to my delight, the island has brought contrasting insight of a different side of Cebu.

"Pooling" around at Mactan
On the east coast of Mactan Island, where beaches are at their best, lies Cebu White Sands Resort and Spa. Since most of us took a Manila to Cebu flight, the resort is accessibly near since the airport (Mactan-Cebu International Airport) is located in the same island. It will roughly take around 15 minutes from the airport going to the resort itself and a scenic 40-minute drive to the historic island of Cebu.
Yeah, I told you, I really relly loved their view. Haha
Our room from a different perspective
Cebu White Sands Resort and Spa offers a delightful vacation experience having almost everything you need. Our first day started with our lovely room, at their newest building, which has an appealing view from the porch of their uniquely designed pool, the scenery of the semi-urban Cebu with greenery around, and the beach within a stone's throw away. Our spacious room has twin bed big enough for me and my friend, with a working table for people on business travel and the like. We have an LCD television which was rarely used because we just want to sleep on their warm and cozy bed. Other finds where we stayed in are cabinets for your clothing especially on long-term travels, refrigerator for drinks and snacks, and their expansive comfort room with the see-through option for romantic travelers.
I could stay here the whole day
Cute-sy decorations at their Anahata Spa
View from our room at sun-down, Isn't it lovely?
At the pool-side area is where their restaurant is located for breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets. You can really feel the island kind of life with the trees and beach around. In addition to their restaurant, they also have a terrace which was turned into a roof-top bar and restaurant called Room 801. In the morning, Room 801 has the splendid view of the blue sky and beach together with the coastline outline of Maribago Beach. On the other hand, when the evening arrives, the lights are brought to life and it creates an intimate set-up with architecture and design of the terrace, together with the playing at the background when you eat for dinner or unwind for a nightcap.

Apart from their luxurious facilities, we also enjoyed an island hopping escapade on our second day. And I was surprised to find that Mactan Island does not only have the fine beaches but also offers a great island hopping and underwater adventures.
If you wish to pamper yourself with serene atmosphere, I suggest of you to try their ponds with numerous koi and their nearby spa, Anahata Spa at Cebu White Sands, which made us blissfully relaxed and rejuvenated.
