Coron Itinerary and Guide | Palawan

Klook.com

It's never too late to follow and chase your dreams! I've visited El Nido in 2012 and was meaning to go back or go to Palawan's northern-most part, Coron.

But since flights going to Coron are pretty much expensive. I've been waiting for so long for a sale that would realize my yearning to visit Coron. And my patience paid off this year (2015)! So, I'm sharing some itinerary and tips that might be helpful for dreamers like me:

Sample 5D/3N Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Coron, Palawan
Walk tour around the town of Coron
Sunset by the port
Day 2 Island Hopping Day 1 - Island Escapade Tour
Day 3 Island Hopping Day 2 - Coron Ultimate Tour
Star gazing at the port and entrance of Mt Tapyas
Day 4 Island Hopping Day 3 - Calauit Safari Tour
Mt Tapyas sunset
Day 5 Departure from Coron, Palawan

Where to stay in Coron?

There are lots of accommodations available in Coron. From my research, their tourism facilities include 68 hotels, resorts, pension houses, and homestays, and 6 island resorts. Since, we've planned to do island hopping on most of our days there, we opted to stay at a guest house in the downtown area.

What tours do you recommend in Coron?

There are lots of islands in Coron and loads of tour operators that will bring you to these places. I've learned that you could actually have a private tour and choose the destinations you want to visit within the day. But if you want to have the tried and tested tours with lunch, here are some of the recommended tours available:

Coron Ultimate Tour - Siete Pecados, Kayangan Lake, Twin Lagoon, Banol Beach, Skeleton Wreck, CYC Beach
Island Escapade Tour - Banana Island, Bulog Dos Island, Malcapuya Island
Calauit Safari Tour - Calauit Safari park, Black Island, Lusong Coral Garden, Lusong Shipwreck
Reffs and Wrecks Tour - Pass Island, East Tangat Wreck, Lusong Coral Garden, Lusong Shipwreck

What are other activities you could do in Coron aside from island hopping?

Climb the 700+ steps of Mt Tapyas
Visit Maquinit Hot Spring
Do foodtrips
Mingle with the locals or other tourists

When is the best time to visit Coron?

It is best to visit Coron on Philippines' summer, March to May. Intermittent to heavy rainfall is expect during July and August due to southwest monsoon (habagat). And December- February are the coolest months due to northeast monsoon (amihan).

How to get around the island?

Tricycle is the main mode of transportation. You may also opt to rent motorcycle or van for do-it-yourself tours of the countryside.

How to get to the town of Coron from the airport?

They're are vans from and to the airport for only Php 150.

What airlines have flights going to Coron?

PAL (Philippine Airlines), CEB (Cebu Pacific Air)

This is the precise weblog for anybody who needs to seek out out about this topic. You notice so much its almost arduous to argue with you. You positively put a brand new spin on a subject that's been written about for years. Nice stuff, simply nice!

A friend told me about his recent Coron experience and prompted me to look for blogs about Coron and landed here. My verdict? I will visit Coron within 6 months time!!! Thanks for this great review and the photos are lovely. I just hope they really are! ;-)

Was tourism affected after Kayangan Lake incident last August 2015? Are the warning signs prominent now and boat operators know first-aid already. It was a big issue last year Coron.
Nice photos!

I've been to Coron several times already. All I can say is that it is still as beautiful as it was when the first time I visited it. And I tried different travel agencies but I always come back to UltimateCoronExperience.com/ 09184659010. The team don't just offer a package, they make sure that everything is properly coordinated and every joiner is having a blast during the entire trip. I'm glad I found a travel agency that cares for travelers like me.

Kindly fill me in as to whether you're searching for an article essayist for your site. You have some truly extraordinary posts and I feel I would be a decent resource. On the off chance that you ever need to take a percentage of the heap off, I'd totally love to compose some material for your web journal in return for a connection back to mine. It would be ideal if you send me an email if intrigued. Much obliged to you! Coron Island Philippines
