La Union | Thunderbird Resorts Poro Point

 

Our first day's dinner night, during the bloggers’ weekend/foodtrip at La Union, was at the beautiful resort in San Fernando --- Thunderbird Resorts Poro Point.

Aside from it being one of the places where the movie, "No Other Woman," was shot, it also became popular due to its Mediterranean-inspired architecture that I often connect the place in Santorini, Greece.

Buffet dinner was served every night which is open to all guests and non-guests of the hotel. They offer various flavor depending on what night it is and during our visit it was of Filipino and Japanese flavors.

We were kinda bummed that we went there at night because the Santorini-inspired beauty were not very evident. So I was glad we went back a day after for a quick tour around the area.

The resort has several home villas surrounding the main building. And at the entrance you'll be met by the vast property overlooking the pool area, green grasses up until the South China Sea it is facing.

Their amenities include: Deluxe Garden Room, Deluxe Balcony Room and Deluxe VO Room, Olives restaurant, Patio Santorini coffee shop, Vegas Cafe, Pool Bar, Santorini Bar & Lounge, Swimming Pool and Cliffs Golf & Beach Club. The luxury suites are upon a 100-ft cliff at the highest point of the Poro peninsula.
