Palawan : El Nido and Puerto Princesa (Itinerary and Guide)

Stunning rock formations at Masinloc/Matinloc Island Shrine

Top one on my list of dream destinations in my beloved country is El Nido, Palawan. When I was in high school, I was captivated when I saw a picture of the place from a post card. And that photo was imprinted in my memory that when I started travelling, I couldn't help but prioritize the place while choosing some destinations to book. And it is quite obvious in my itinerary that I have spent 90% of my time in El Nido for my first Palawan trip.

Drizzling but still beautiful
Lagoon where Survivors was filmed

It was unfortunate though that when I got to go there was a typhoon was in Luzon, so the photos aren't that picturesque as what I've seen in personal. Nevertheless, it was a true paradise on earth that I'd love to go back again! After all, there are a lot of places I've missed to visit when I was there last July, including Puerto Princesa, and I have got to buy an underwater camera because I've missed to take some beautiful scenery since it would be too risky to bring my DSLR.

Great shots! I feel like I missed out a bit by not seeing El Nido. I did get to go to Coron on Busuanga Island next door. It's more of the same island paradise beauty so you didn't miss too much, but I HEAVILY recommend visiting the Al Faro resort there. It's incredible!

You can see more from my trip to Busuanga in my video starting at 3:43 until the end http://traveltransmissions.com/blog/2012/12/video-travel-to-philippines/

Hi there! Thank you so much sa pagpost ng details talaga. I once went from Pampanga to Makati on a tight budget and while I was on the trip iniisip ko talaga na iblog ko to help other thrifty travelers, but I never got around to it. Thank you and I hope you see the world one day!
