Penang | Leisure Cove Hotel & Apartments

We were supposed to fly from Penang, four days after staying at Langkawi. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, I decided to extend a little bit and canceled my previously booked flight. Hence, we arrived in Penang through availing the next possible transportation there is -- fast craft. It was a Thursday afternoon, the sun was already setting around 7 in the evening, when we hailed a cab to Leisure Cove which took around 20 minutes drive from the port.

Leisure Cove Hotel & Apartments in Jalan Tanjung Bungah is located halfway between the popular tourist spots of Old Georgetown and Batu Feringghi. Where its coast is mostly composed of high rise residential and hotel buildings overlooking the vast waters of Malacca Strait.

Coming from a three hour sea travel, I immediately succumbed to my bed and availed the much needed rest. After all, it is my 7th day of my birthday trip in Malaysia. Our deluxe room is a 23.8 square meter, one with a king-sized bed with facilities such as 32” LED TV, refrigerator, tea/coffee making facilities, safe deposit (requested at the front desk), iron and ironing table, and hair dryer. Our bathroom includes a shower and a bathtub with generous essential supplies. The hotel includes free WIFI access in all rooms including their other hotel facilities such as swimming pool, gym, on-site parking.

I was supposed to explore the island the day after but I was totally invited by the idea to just stay and relax because aside from the fact that we are just a stone’s throw away from the beach of Jalan Tanjung Bungah, the relaxing view from their roof deck swimming pool was a pretty good sight to behold. I just wish that it doesn’t close as early as 7pm, when the sun is setting. Perhaps my biggest regret is not being able to ask the staff to capture the roof deck during night time.

The rest of the days was spent exploring the island, rain or shine, that is via motorbike. And managed to meet my friend who arrived in Penang on the second to the last day of my trip, which is actually a day before my birthday. (Insert big grin here) The place, for me, is perfect to because it is tucked in the less busier parts of Penang, a relaxation I much needed. And it is just a few minutes from either Georgetown or Batu Feringghi. Additionally, the pool’s roof-deck view and reasonable price is totally a deal maker for Leisure Cove Hotel and Apartments.

Leisure Cove Hotels and Apartments is exactly located at 563, Jalan Wee Hein Tze, Tanjung Tokong, 11200 Tanjung Bungah, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia. For more promotions and information about the hotel, visit leisurecove.com.my or message facebook.com/leisurecove.
