Capones Island, Zambales

Our last but definitely not the least stop of our two days Zambales trip is Capones Island. After saying goodbye to our paradise at Nagsasa Cove, we then took the boat and more pics of the wondrous highlands in Zambales is shown here.

As we grew near, my camera was so excited to reach the island but, unfortunately, she (my camera) wasn't able to do so. I need to swim to the shoreline of the island carrying her and the thought of risking her life, no matter how much I wanted to take photos there, is a thought I couldn't bear. So, sadly, I went to the island defeated. Anyway, It was a wise decision, I guess, because my brave friend Chino tried to do the same thing I have planned earlier. But because of the strong waves he wasn't able to  hold still and the lower part of the camera was dipped with salt water. Good thing we found out that the camera lens cover was the only part dipped when we opened the bag and it was still working after that. We were more careful after that event.

Going back, we then reached the island, explored the ruins of the once working lighthouse of Capones til it's topmost part. The lighthouse still holds an aura of beauty amid the ruins and the breathtaking view from the top is a scenery that you shouldn't miss. After exploring the island, we bid farewell as we finally go back to Pundaquit to prepare our departure for Manila.
