Badi'ah Hotel Brunei Darussalam

Arrived on the Saturday evening's red-eye flight in Brunei, I was fetched by a Badi'ah Hotel’s staff at the airport which is very much helpful for a smooth transit since cabs in Brunei are rare and quite expensive. I was booked on Times Hotel, Badi'ah’s sister hotel, on the very first night due to full capacity in Badi'ah. Good thing it was just around 10 to 15 minutes away from the airport.

After the morning breakfast, I asked the hotel staff for the transfer from Times Hotel to Badi'ah Hotel. It was around 20-25 minutes of travel. A sunny day in the vast green land of Brunei Darussalam. The hotel is located at the corner between two major roads of Jalan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha and Lebuhraya Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah at the heart of Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. I was greeted with friendly and accommodating staff at their ground floor’s lobby upon check-in which went smoothly upon arrival.

Beautiful abode in Brunei which is strategically just a few minutes from the iconic Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque and city center of Bandar Seri Begawan. It made it easier for me to visit the mosque every sunset knowing I could just walk from and to the hotel. As seen in my photos, mine was a Superior Room – a spacious 30 sqm cut with the city view and minimalist design with a touch of violet which made it regal. I know my sister would go crazy about it since she loves anything with a hint of purple. Other room types available are as follows: Standard Room (25 sqm) and Executive Deluxe (41-44 sqm) that both comes in either double queen or single king bed. The complete amenities at Badi'ah made me really at home despite being solo internationally for the first time.

They also have a gym and pool area overlooking the 2 highways mentioned above. And on the same floor is where the banquet and meeting rooms are located. For the daily breakfast buffet, which can be included during your hotel package during booking, is located on the first floor of their Badi'ah Hotel Restaurant.

What made the trip more memorable are the staff who I have talked to during my stay – several of them at the restaurant were fellow Filipinos like me. The lobby staff who I constantly call to ask about routes and easiest way around the city who were eagerly answering all my queries especially during my first day for my Brunei River Cruise at Queen Elizabeth’s Jetty Port in Kota Batu. And Atoi, who chased the Muara bus so I could be on time to Labuan. Conductor before the trip told me they will be leaving 730am but when I arrived at 720am, it already left. So, it really pays to ask beforehand than relying on the net, because most of the time, the information is not updated. Thankful for the kind souls I have met in Brunei. Indeed, I could truly say, that Badi'ah offers hospitality and quality comfort in one which I first handedly experienced during my 4 days of stay.
