Pasig | Privato Hotel

The first time that I visited Privato, one of the newest hotels around Metro Ortigas, was last December when a friend from Cebu visited Manila for a few days. I remembered how fresh and pleasing to the eyes their architecture and design is and how comfortable our stay especially that it is near the restaurants of Capitol Commons and Kapitolyo. And I swore I would want to come back.

Privato Hotel is an Italian-inspired business and lifestyle hotel in along Shaw Boulevard, Pasig City, strategically located near Capitol Commons. Their hotel is not just for travelers on vacation or staycation, but also for those who wish to live in a hotel accommodation for long term leasing, say a month or so. It is indeed as what their tag line says “Where Buisness Meets Leisure.”

After ten months, I found myself once again in the arms of Privato Hotel. And this time, to discover further what I missed the first time around. Upon check-in, I noted how pretty, pleasant and accommodating their staffs are. And no wonder, because later on I learned that it has partnered to be run by Endurun. When I took some photos in my bedroom, I was delighted to see a note and complimentary brownie from the staff. The thought really is sweet enough to start off my weekend stay at Privato.

Our room was a ‘Bedroom Suite King Bed with Kitchen’ which basically has suite king bedroom, ensuite shower and comfort room, kitchen, dining set and sizable sala set. Apart from what was mentioned, the room is all complete with the amenities from complimentary WIFI access, 1 free parking slot, 2 LCD TV with capable programming (sala and bedroom), IDD and NDD phone, individually contolled air-conditioning (sala and bedroom), in-room electronic safe, electronic keycard entry system, complimentary coffee/water/tea, electric tea kettle, refrigerator, and hair dryer. Did I mention a lot? Because, yeah, the place was huge enough for two and was like a home itself that I wished home in the Metro should be as such! I wish.

Furthermore, I also did not miss to visit their popular Verona Roof Deck Bar situated at their 23rd and top-most floor, where the most-sought after and sweeping view of Metro Ortigas city lights are visible from the bar. The bar opens daily from 11:00 AM- 12:00 AM, welcome for both hotel guests and walk-ins. Also on the same floor with Verona Roof Deck Bar is their gym facilities and pretty pool. It is really swimming or exercising with scrapers as view. Both the pool and gym are exclusive for hotel guests which open daily from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. They also have a Piazza Privato where breakfast buffet is served, located on the 6th floor, which opens daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

All in all, I especially loved our room and the vast view from their roof deck. It is indeed a must try experience one should not miss both for leisure or business travelers, or even those who are in the Metro looking for a staycation.
