Stella & Rocketroom at Bonifacio High Street

I’ve always been a fan and on constant lookout for wood fired dishes in the metro. That is why it was a delight to finally dine at Stella. Stella is a sister restaurant of Chelsea and Rocket Room.

It is known to offer wood fire cooking, not limited to pizzas, but to other cuisine and even some desserts.  Rocket Room, located adjacent to Stella, is known to cater the drinking crowd and is open until late hours.  Both is strategically located at the heart of Bonifacio High Street and offers a mixture of classy and rustic ambiance targeting different markets but coherently working as one.

Both of what we tried can be ordered from either of the two restaurants:

Crispy Pork Belly Chips P250 (served with Himalayan sea salt and spicy “Pinakurat” vinegar). This one was our appetizer and a personal favorite because who doesn’t love crispy pork belly? You’d be amazed that the preparation of this one took over for about 24 hours of marinating which, mind you, was finished in just a few minutes.

Wood Fired “Callos a la Stela” P495. This dish which mainly contains Spanish chorizo, double smoked bacon, beef tripe, garbanzos, roasted bell peppers & roasted tomato was a unique and tasteful one.

Stella’s Porchetta P395. Another favorite of mine is this pork belly roll stuffed with double smoked bacon, fennel, hers and served with rosemary sultana sauce. You can’t go wrong with this one.

Slow Roasted Truffled Beef Belly P595. This course is made of truffled gravy, roasted mushroom, garlic confit topped with jamon serrano crisp. Simply delectable and the slowly roasted beef belly melts in the mouth.

Salt Baked Gindara Fillet (400gG) P450. “Is that bread?” was our first question when we saw this platter. But, no, it was all pure salt with the Gindara fillet served with light dill-citrus cream and citrus bits.

Spanish Chorizo Stuffed Prawns (6pcs) P575. Yummy seafood we tasted was this stuffed prawn with spanish chorizo served with herb & pemod butter breadcrumbs, and fresh lemon.

Fire Roasted Truffled Mushroom Pizza P395. I have always loved seafood pizzas but this made me think twice. The mushroom and cheese lover in me could not resist this pizza with porcini ‘dust’, fresh herbs, malagos ricotta.

Pesto Seafood & Vegetables Pizza P420. Pizza which has salmon, crab meat & prawns, broccoli & cauliflower, lemon cream, garlic confit, fresh dill and lemon.

Spanish Chorizo & Garlic Fried Rice P95

Wood Fired Cauliflower & Broccoli P195. For healthier yet yummy option! This made me love cauliflower and broccoli more.

New tapas from Rocket Room:

Spicy Calamari

Chile Lime Chicken

Chorizo Nachos

And, of course, you wouldn't wanna miss their desserts! The following are red velvet cake, caramel cake, and last but definitely not the least and favorite of almost everyone in the table -- cookie dough!

Stella & Rocket Room is located on the 7th Ave. corner 29th St. South, Ground Floor, East Superblock Bonifacio High Street Central, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. For more inquiries visit, their facebook page: Stella & Rocket Room.

Traveling and eating are inseparable! Eating all the good food of the place is the first thing that comes to your mind once you plan your travel.

@Space Bags. Super true. I've been having a hard time managing what I eat because I love to eat when I travel!
