My First On-the-Spot Photo Contest Experience

First Place
Zooperb Shots 2 - South Leg
On-the-spot Photo Contest in Tagaytay City

Heard about the Zooperb Shots months ago when Christian, travel photographer I've looked up to, invited me to join. I thought I had the chance to win but my confidence vanished when I saw the other participants for the South Leg in Tagaytay City. They have cameras left and right, lenses of all sizes, and have been friends from the photography organizations for quite some time. Good thing I was with my travel blogger friends during the event. I thought to myself that this is a very good learning experience and I could blog some good shots I may have, instead.

My other entry
Model: Gino Lisondra

When the picture-choosing time has come, the more I got so confused. In a day's shoot of 340 plus shots, I hardly can find my two winning shots that depict the theme: Happy Nature. I still passed 2 shots and based it from the comments with my companions during the photo contest.

When the winner was announced, I was very shocked to hear my name being called out. It was unbelievable that I even mouthed to my friend, "Seriously?!" It took me sometime to let the news sync in. But when it did, I was truly thankful.

Prizes (L-R): Bio Glow, Al's Formula, Lowepro backpack, Ever Bilena cosmetics, Watch from Canon, Cash and Residence Inn Overnight Stay GC

And more to these prizes I received was the opportunity to meet and rub shoulders with other passionate photography enthusiasts.
This is my time to extend gratitude to the Zoomanity Group's Zooperb Shots 2 and all the events' sponsors. It was a great opportunity to learn and meet new friends.

It seems that I may able to afford that UWA lens I've been eyeing for months, after all! :P
