Tagaytay's Taal Vista Hotel: First Weekend Getaway of 2013

Taal Vista Hotel

Spending my first weekend getaway for 2013 was a staycation I'd never forget! I was truly delighted when I got the invite because aside from staying there for the first time, I got to enjoy the majestic Taal Volcano from my room. I am truly at loss of words now because all I can think of my stay there was pure relaxation plus the constant sumptuous buffet on their Cafe on the Ridge. So, let me just give you a quick tour through my photographs together with some details during our overnight stay there last January...

The iconic Taal Vista symbol!

Lobby Lounge

Upon arrival at the Hotel, we were immediately greeted with several warm faces and, since we were there the weekend right after New Year, the Christmas feel from their Lobby Lounge's atmosphere is very much alive. They also offer daily entertainment at the lounge from 6 to 11 in the evening.

Cafe on the Ridge

Is one of my favorite places in Taal Vista, well pretty much because my gluttonous side is feasting over the buffet that they offer every meal. The price ranges from Php 699++ to Php 988++ with special themes of Mexican (Friday night), Carribean (Saturday night) and Filipino (Saturday and Sunday lunch). Additional to those several themes is a band which serenades the guests. During the Filipino themed buffet, they also have various Filipino cultural dance performances which originated from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Really, if I have a friend who doesn't know much about our country, I'd recommend the place because the dance performances were spectacular. Keep posted for my next post about their sumptuous buffet!

Premier Rooms

Taal Vista Hotel was founded  in 1939 with 261 guest rooms which were just refurbished last year. Each room are equipped with several amenities such as cable TV, air conditioning units, Wi-Fi and mini bar. Much to those amenities, we stayed at a premier room where from the balcony we'd able to see the breathtaking Taal Volcano view. I also love the welcome note detail because it was a first for me and we debated if that was a legit hand writing of the manager. :))

Asmara Spa

Well, a perfect staycation is not complete without a massage! Oh yes, not just a simple massage but I had my first full body massage. *winks* Ah, the life. I am now so missing the place!

Sunrise at Taal Vista Hotel

My fellow travel bloggers and I decided to catch a glimpse of Taal Volcano during sunrise because Celine, the marketing manager, highly recommended it and said that it is most lovely during that time. Well, I slept late so when I woke up I was still very droggy. I just got up, brought my camera, took some snapshots, and returned back to sleep, hoping while dreaming that I got even one decent shot. Haha
