En route: Tuguegarao, Cagayan

It is always a battle for someone who has motion sickness like me to go on board on a bus. But I love traveling, that's why I do want to eventually get used to it no matter how many times I would have to try.

Before, my eight hours travel to Camarines Norte was the longest I've been in a bus. But my trip to Tuguegarao topped it for it took us thirteen to fourteen hours to arrive there. It is usually around twelve hours but traffic and roads under construction were some of the reasons it took longer than usual.

Aside from Robbie, a fellow travel blogger whom I will be traveling for the first time after several planned trips that were unfortunately cancelled, I also met some new friends like Sir Albert, Sir Freddie, Sir Ron, Sir Vince and greeted by our tour coordinator from Travel Factor, Ron. The eighth participant, Mage, is already in Tuguegarao so we just have to meet her there when we arrived. We had some chit chat while waiting for our bus and then prepared ourselves for the loooong bus ride.

The fare going to Tuguegarao costs Php 590 and Php 799 for regular and deluxe buses, respectively. And we took the last trip to Tuguegarao which drove off by 10:15pm.

I was also happy to have a free WIFI access onboard, it helps me forget I'm actually on the bus because I was too busy updating my social networking accounts. But when I get dizzy from looking at my phone's screen I just stop and doze off.

Since I was kind of feverish with cough and colds before the trip, I brought medicines and, also, two jackets to cope with the super cold temperature inside the bus! With my history with buses, I have some coping techniques while I am onboard like having a head ware to help me sleep and not smell the air fresheners which makes me dizzy. In the event that I could still smell the strong fragrance from those fresheners, I do have Eficascent Oil to counter that. Good thing my travel buddy, Robbie, didn't complain of the Eficascent's smell. Haha He can be really kind, at times, because aside from those unspoken complaints he also prepared ham and cheese sandwiches for this particular trip. Sweetness! :)

Happily, I totally knocked off those fourteen long hours because I was mostly asleep. If not asleep, I am chatting with my fellow travel blogger or new friends, watching the beautiful sceneries on the window, trying if there is a WIFI signal, or my mind is wandering and excited on what Cagayan and Kalinga has to offer.
