Photograph | The City of Gentle People in Blue

Klook.com

Went back to my home town last August in time of Silliman University's Founders Week Celebration and  my birthday which happens to be Silliman's Founders Day. It is totally hard to plan anything out of town when you're actually home because the laid back charm of Dumaguete is very inviting. So, I wasn't able to go to places or towns near Dumaguete and will update my blog soon. Soon. *winks*

But for now, I'm sharing something special to me. And yes, it is about the magic hour of the day which is also known by some as "blue hour." Taken this shot from a new hotel in this little city a day before my name day.  While I was up there seeing the small city from a different perspective, it made my heart melt for it was just truly beautiful.

Follow my passion to learn more about  blue hour here.

A similar picture of this, in landscape, also happens to be one of my three entries for Yen Baet's My World In Blue Photography Contest. Share some love and hit the LIKE button at the lower part of the photos, City of Gentle People in Blue (Dumaguete, Neg Or),  A Poem in Blue (Nagsasa, Zambales), and Of Lakes and Rowboats (Baguio, Benguet).

One out of the top 5 photos, with highest number of likes, will be considered as a wild card finalist for this contest.

It's always nice seeing your photos. There's a perfect mix of the light and the busy city at night.

you didn't mention in your post why it's called the "blue hour"... it's not important really, just curious...

I've yet to experience my own kind of 'blue hour'. I might just watch out for it on my next trip. :) Lovely photo by the way.. the contrasts are exquisite.

So surreal, I can't ever perfect night trail shot, much more adding a good contrast blue colour.

Great Photo Elal!

The photo is simply stunning, Ganda! been to Dumaguete many times and true this is the city of gentle people!

Did that actually happen or is it edited? it's impressive eh.

I was initially wondering what's up with calling it 'blue' - until I saw the photo. Great skyline to commute under! In Manila, it would be 'gray' and 'black' haha!

good thing this not related with the book of 50 shades... :) and instead something that resonates 'blue'.....
